Dora The Explorer Episodes
There’s a wide variety of Dora the Explorer episodes that have hit the small screen since the cartoon character’
s TV series inception. In the last 10 or 11 years, between 1999 (which was the year that the pilot episode was screened) and last year, there have been at least 115 different installments that related to the intrepid travelling Latina.
Along with her friends, Diego, Isa, Tico and of course her best friend Boots the Monkey, Dora has journeyed her way through a wonderful array of mini-adventures that are aimed at preschool children. As a parent I find the well loved TV character to be endearing and wholly engaging for the young audience that she’s aimed at.
As a professional I love the way that the show revolves around interactive with its target audience, and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen small children enthralled in Dora’s endeavors to locate either a ‘someone’ or a ‘something’. I think many of the Dora games that are included in each of the shows fully explore the way a child learns through play and I’ve often thought I’d love to meet the creators!
Dora The Explorer Episodes Guide
If you want or need to investigate the full (up to 2010 at least) Dora the Explorer Episodes guide, you can check out either the Nick Jr
site or somewhere like Wikipedia. Both have a list and you can select which one’s you want your children to watch, or at least choose the chapters that you want, then go on and buy one of the many Dora video sets.
For my part I don’t think there’s much of a difference between the earlier shows and those that were created and aired in the last 2 or 3 years. They tend to follow the same pattern, the one that involves Dora enlisting the help of her friends along her many journeys of discovery.
Swiper the Fox always tries to ‘swipe’ something that Dora needs, and yet she always manages to triumph in the end. Along the way she imparts a little about her Latin background and a few words of Spanish are shared. Her famous backpack gets in on the act in every show, and this is one of the ways that allows Dora to turn to her audience and enlists their help, as she always asks her watching friends to shout out ‘backpack!’
Watch Dora The Explorer Episodes
You can watch some Dora the Explorer episodes free online, and your best choice is probably Nickelodeon. Although the full list isn’t available you’ll still find that there’s usually around 16 different shows that you can watch, without having to pay anything up front. There are a few other sites but you do need to sort the good from the bad.
Some of them are littered with annoying pop-up ads, or they don’t show the full episode. Other’s are full of flash type games, which spoil the viewing experience and can slow down how fast the online shows will stream over the internet. As I said, your best option is to check out Nick Jr, as every time I’ve used it to as a means of settling kids down to Dora the Explorer episodes, it’s never let me (or them!) down.
